Selected impact

Strategy translated
into measurable results.

My experience includes building partnerships, advancing aviation technology, modernizing mission planning, and changing how large organizations operate.

Advancing the next generation of aviation

I led the development of the Air Force’s blended wing body demonstrator initiative, bringing together government, research, and industry partners, including DIU, NASA, AFRL, and JetZero. The effort secured a $235 million government investment to advance a full-scale demonstrator.

I also led research and fielding efforts for aerodynamic improvements, including C-17 microvanes. The nomination materials project a nine-month payback for the approximately $10 million fleet investment, based on $15 million in annual fuel savings.

Turning operational insight into better decisions

I created the Mission Execution Excellence Program, aligning incentives with efficient mission execution. The program expanded from two units to fifty, with reported cumulative savings of $140 million, including an additional $45 million in FY26.

I funded digital mission planning and optimization tools, including Jigsaw and Pythagoras, that reduced complex planning cycles from hours to minutes. I also built collaboration with commercial aviation partners to apply engine coatings and improved wash methods to military fleets.

Creating a lasting funding mechanism

I championed an expansion of energy-savings reinvestment authority to support operational energy projects. The approach recouped $90 million for reinvestment in additional efficiency initiatives, including another $15 million at the close of FY26.

I worked with contracting partners to establish an energy innovation contract that preserved $50 million in expiring funds for training solutions, including virtual reality applications.

Improving organizational performance

At the Air Force Safety Center, I led organizational improvements associated with an Outstanding inspection rating, a 27% improvement in surveyed morale, and a 13% reduction in vehicle mishaps.

At Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, I oversaw a $103 million headquarters budget, reduced travel expenses by 75%, and helped reduce overdue travel vouchers from 14% to 1%.

Selected historical results and projections are drawn from my FY26 Presidential Rank Award nomination materials, updated with FY26 results I provided in October 2026. Program and team outcomes reflect the periods covered in that record; projected returns are not presented as realized savings.

Experience that informs the advice

From the cockpit
to the executive table.

My career has combined Navy and Air Force aviation, command, and senior civilian leadership. I bring that experience to companies working through complex defense, safety, and energy decisions.

Before retiring from federal service in June 2026, I served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Operational Energy, Safety and Occupational Health. My earlier assignments included Executive Director of the Air Force Safety Center and Director of Staff at Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command.

Today, I help clients define the mission problem, assess their capability’s relevance, and communicate a credible path forward.
